GDOL Voc Rehab Offices
The state's Division of Rehabilitation Services was merged with the Georgia Department of Labor on July 1, 2001, by an act of the state legislature. Prior to the merger, Rehabilitation Services was under the administration of the Georgia Department of Human Resources. Effective July 1, 2012, the five Rehabilitation Programs, which made up the Division of Rehabilitation Services, were transferred to the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency which is administratively attached to the Georgia Department of Human Services.
For additional information about the programs, services, and locations please visit their web site.
One-Stop Centers
There are many One-Stop Centers established under the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) which provide education, training, and employment-related workforce services for Job Seekers and Employers in Georgia. In many areas of the state, GDOL Career Centers serve as WIA One-Stops, but One-Stops may also be located at technical colleges or the site of another workforce partner. For additional information about WIA One-Stop locations and services, please contact the Governor’s Office of Workforce Development.
