Income Tax Withholding
Income Tax Withholding
Income taxes can be withheld from your weekly unemployment benefits at the rate of 10% Federal Withholding and 6% Georgia Withholding. Income taxes for states other than Georgia cannot be withheld from your weekly unemployment benefits.

To make or update your Income Tax Withholding election, print the Income Tax Withholding Option Form (DOL- 414I). Complete and sign the document and mail it to the address on the form. Faxed copies of the form are not acceptable. An original signature is required. You must include a legible copy of your valid government-issued picture identification with the completed document to have your tax withholdings changed.

You may change your tax withholding option one time per benefit year.

This form is in PDF format and requires Adobe Acrobat Reader to view or print. A free software download is available from the Adobe web site.
