When it comes to creating a résumé, there are many questions to consider. How long should it be? Which words should be used? What is the purpose? The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) résumé tutorial and resources will help answer those questions. Minimum Requirements:

  • Reliable Internet Connection - A reliable broadband (DSL, cable, or better) internet connection. Dial up users may find download times too slow.
  • Web Browser - Web browser with popup-blocking disabled and Adobe Flash Player 9 or higher installed. Adobe reports that 98% of computers have Flash 9 installed. A free Flash software download is available from the Adobe website.

Computers with Adobe Reader 6 and higher or Internet Explorer 7 and higher installed. A free software download is available from the Adobe website. A free Internet Explorer download is available from the Microsoft Internet Explorer website.

To Edit a Résumé
Customize résumé templates with your information by opening the document in Microsoft Word. If Microsoft Word is not available, Google Docs and OpenOffice can be used free of charge. Access Google Docs for more information. A Google Account is required and can be also establish at no charge. Access OpenOffice for its download.
