Description:
The Material Handler will support all facets of logistics including shipping, receiving, processing of paperwork and on- time deliveries. Must be able to work in a progressively changing environment and have the skill set to adapt to change. Primary Purpose * Responsible for all material movement to support the production and shipping of goods to Constellium customers. This includes but is not limited to receipt of goods from outside vendors / suppliers, intercompany transfer of material (i.e., WIP and raw), and staging truck preparation areas for on time shipments to end users / customers. Key Accountabilities * Safely Operates forklift and Straight truck at all times. Immediately reports any incidents involving safety or damage. * Completion of Daily Hilo Check Sheet, prior to SAFE operation of the Hi-Lo. * Creating and verifying validity of shipping documentation for both inbound and outbound freight. * Proficient in normal computing skills and the ability to learn MRP systems (i.e., SAP). * Visual inspection of freight for damage. Confirm all freight being unloaded is accurately accounted for in shipping documents. Report any damage or discrepancies to Quality and note it on the Shipper before accepting and signing the freight slip. * Stage and load material to support predefined equipment process flows. Follow the work instructions (WI) for all process equipment. * Follow SAFTEY guidelines, LEAN, 5S and TPA policies and procedures. Will assist with material handling duties including but not limited to: packaging preparation (i.e., banding and labeling), shrink / stretch wrap/, order processing, unloading of inbound product, handling of customer owned dunnage / containers and the ability to support change and direction from management. Job Requirements for Candidate (not all inclusive): * High school diploma or general education degree (GED) * Minimum of two years work experience as a licensed hi-lo driver in shipping/receiving in a Manufacturing environment. * Requires candidate to communicate clearly with the general public * Willing to encourage and implement continuous improvement. * Requires candidate to adapt to change and be Hands-on and willing to help on the shop floor as required or requested. * Basic math skills and computer literacy required. * Good hearing and visual acuity; requires candidate to reach overhead, bend, lift, push, pull up to 40 pounds. Candidate will be required to pass pre-employment examination, drug screening, and background check. Salary based on skills, experience and knowledge; benefits package available.
