Job Title: Safety Training Supervisor Job Location: Jackson, Georgia Salary: Salary to be discussed Description: Provides the tools, skills, and measurements for training of hourly employees. Assists Training Manager with career development planning. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises the distribution center hourly employee training process, evaluation, and development of trainers. Conducts job specific supervisor and manager training. May coordinate and facilitate management training. Facilitates distribution center orientation process. Assists Training Manager in coordination of new process and new technology training in conjunction with Performance Improvement process. Trains Trainers on employee evaluation and development. Reports trainee progress to department supervisors and determines trainee readiness for full productivity; updates Training Manager of training results and gaps. Maintains records for all training within the distribution center, including maintenance of certification and safety programs; monitors the accuracy of hourly employee training documentation; provides statistical analysis to distribution center management. Provides administrative support for DC employees’ participation in GED study programs, tuition assistance programs, adult education, and grant programs, where applicable. Coordinates training reimbursements. Acts as liaison with local college or university. Conducts OSHA training; maintains documentation and files. Evaluation of hourly employees for leadership potential. Effective oral communication and analytical skills.
