Job Title: Controller Job Location: Carrollton, Georgia Salary: Salary to be discussed Description: The Controller ensures the Plant has appropriate processes in place to control costs and provide sound financial controls insuring financial reporting accuracy. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Production Reporting (frequency: daily & weekly). Compile volume, input cost and output value by production run Investigate and solve variances. * P&L Reporting (frequency: weekly). Compile plant P&L for consolidation into company-wide P&L Investigate and resolve variances. * Inventory control/reconciliation/reporting (frequency: ongoing). Reconcile inventory and investigate discrepancies, in-plant and outside cold storage. Roll forward inventory balances (weekly). Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts and investigate variances. Coordinate with Operations and Sales teams to identify and resolve aged, slow-moving inventory. * General Support month end closing processes. General ledger activity review/analysis. Balance sheet account reconciliations. Tracking & analysis of capital projects and related spend. Assist in the development of the annual budget. Analyze, interpret and communicate data needed for sound business and financial decision-making. Requirements: • Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills. • Requires candidate to collaborate, problem solve and possess strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfortable navigating large data sets. Education/Experience: • 5+ years experience as an Accounting Manager with responsibility for accounts, budgeting, cost accounting, and finance; work experience in Meat Processing industry strongly preferred. • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
