Description:
This position is responsible for maintaining the corporate bills of material for commercial and military products through the analysis and coordination of Product Improvements (PI's) issued by Engineering to ensure incorporation into current and/or future products. Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:* Maintain the computerized corporate bills of material for commercial and military products.* Process Product Improvements into the electronic bills of material.* Lead the PI Implementation Process by communicating PI changes to relevant departments and ensuring appropriate/timely line incorporation.* Maintain relevant data management, communication management and tracking systems for effective change communication.* Support future product development trials, projects, and tooling activities through the incorporation of PI changes and the coordination of part planning and requisition efforts.* Monitor planning and change incorporation processes for effective and efficient incorporation that minimizes obsolescence and line disruption.* Investigate and resolve discrepancies and errors in the bills of material.* Serve as the point of contact for incorporation of Concession Requests.* Maintain a working knowledge of current engineering changes and product design/function.* Other projects as assigned.* Qualified candidate must have knowledge of lean manufacturing and related concepts.* Qualified candidate must pass any drug screens, background checks and any pre-employments tests as applicable.* Qualified candidate must have knowledge of bill of materials structures and methodologies.* Qualified candidate must have strong analytical skills.* Qualified candidate must have effective verbal and written communication skills.* Qualified candidate must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.Minimum Qualifications:* High school diploma or GED. * Two (2) years of engineering change or production control experience in a manufacturing environment.* Must have experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and SAP.Preferred Qualifications:* Four (4) years of engineering change or production control experience in a related industry .* Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field.Job Conditions:  Both office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory environment.
