Job Title: Group Leader-Manufacturing Job Location: Pooler, Georgia Salary: Salary to be discussed Description: This position is responsible for managing and leading the assigned team. The individual will be involved in all aspects of supporting the assigned area functions by working closely with Team Leaders, Group Leaders and Management. Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:* Ensure daily production targets are met.* Support ongoing initiatives by ensuring all team members are updated and informed regularly.* Understand and drive the JCB quality standards within your area(s) including coaching and training Team Leaders to do the same.* Manage the implementation of the JCB Production System in your area(s) to ensure continuous improvement through Kaizen and 5S. * Effectively manage budgeted resources by analyzing problem areas and actively pursuing and encouraging cost savings.* Ensure that you and your team understand and use safe systems of work in the area and follow company environmental practices.* Ensure that proper training for all team members is maintained.* Provide direct personnel management including setting of goals, quality oversight and performance evaluations.* Qualified candidate must be familiar with 5S, Kaizen and other lean manufacturing practices.* Qualified candidate must pass any drug screens, background checks and any pre-employments.* Qualified candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.* Qualified candidate must have effective time management and organizational skills.* Qualified candidate must be detail oriented.* Qualified candidate must multi-task while maintaining a sense of urgency.* Qualified candidate must work with minimal supervision.* Qualified candidate must have effective problem solving skills.Minimum Qualifications:* Five (5) years of experience within a manufacturing environment required.* Associate's degree or equivalent technical training in manufacturing required.* Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.Preferred Qualifications:* Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing or other similar field a plus.Job Conditions: Both office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory environment.
