Job Title: Facility Maintenance Helper Job Location: Macon, Georgia Salary: Salary to be discussed Description: This is an entry level position. The Facility Maintenance Helper will be responsible for performing unscheduled and scheduled maintenance/repairs and upkeep of an industrial manufacturing facility. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. A background in basic mechanics and grounds keeping is required. Role and Responsibilities This position will be instructed on and required to perform regular routine upkeep and unscheduled repairs of the following: * Facility grounds – mowing, weed-eating and hedging * Office and production floor lighting systems * Air conditioning systems – hoses, pumps and drains * Pest control systems * Industrial disposal – emptying & organizing waste drums * General plant housekeeping This position may be instructed on and required to utilize the following equipment: * General hand tools * Troubleshooting tools – multi-meters , amp meters and pressure gauges Success of this position will depend highly on basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn a multitude of different skill sets. Ability to learn fast and work well in a fast-paced, team environment with consistently shifting priorities is a must. Must furnish own hand tools. Must have stable work history and ability to pass drug screening. Some overtime is required.
