Job Title: Line Lead Job Location: Conley, Georgia Salary: $13.00 - $13.00 Salary Frequency: Hourly Description: This role will ensure our products are manufactured, inspected and packaged within Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines and government standards to meet customer demand. Observes and instructs all processors in the proper techniques. Arranges job assignments in the most efficient order. Responsible for the productivity and yield of the line and to assist in measures for improvement of quality, yield, and efficiency. Responsible for your area, GMP's and cleanliness. Our company has a zero tolerance for failing to follow GMP guidelines. Duties and Responsibilities:* Identifying and Reporting to Management Food Safety and Quality Issues* To assist the supervisor in the training and development of all new employees* Report to supervisor any problems or potential problems occurring in their area* To ensure that quality products are being produced daily and meeting the customers' requirements* To keep all employees aware of company rules, GMP's (General Manufacturing Practices), safety procedures, break times, lunch times and production start and finish times and to correctly enforce them* To work with other lead people, employees, shipping cooler, and supervisors to ensure that all products are completed accurately and in a timely fashion* Take on role of an efficient Line Leader: being a good role model, skilled in decision-making, ability to encourage and motivate workers and treat everyone fairly* Ability to follow safety & GMP requirements and ability to identify and report to Management Food Safety and Quality IssuesSkills and Competencies:* Dependable, reliable and punctual* Must be able to remain in a stationary position, traverse, ascend/descend, reach, move, pull, push, position self, bend and stretch as needed throughout shift* Must be able to comprehend, speak, read, and write basic English* Excellent math skills required* Excellent communication and leader skills* Ability to work at a fast pace, in a team-oriented environment* Consistently Work in a refrigerated environment, 34 - 37 degrees consistently* Available to work a flexible schedule including holidays, weekends and overtime when needed* Must be able to move 20 lbs* Previous experience preferred in a similar environment* Must pass background check and drug screening* Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is preferredEmployment is subject to passing a background check and drug screen.This position will start out as day shift but could vary after startup.Note: This position description is not designed or intended to provide a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties or responsibilities that are required to perform effectively in this role.
