Job Title: Quality Assurance Lead Job Location: Conley, Georgia Salary: $13.50 - $13.50 Salary Frequency: Hourly Description: This role will ensure our products are manufactured, inspected and packaged within Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines and government standards to meet customer demand. Lead the daily activities of the QA technicians, including pre-operational inspections and environmental testing. Compile & review all QA documentation daily. Our company has a zero tolerance for failing to follow GMP guidelines. Duties and Responsibilities: * Lead and coordinate technician activities * Ensure adequate staffing and QA technician work schedule posting * Coordinate and assist in the training of new QA associates according to key product indicators * Identifying and Reporting to Management Food Safety and Quality Issues * Review QA reports for accuracy daily * Assist in conduction of plant audits * Test products for qualities such as temperature, defects, code dates, etc. * Run statistical tests on the results and compare the deviation from our existing standard. * Recommend modifications to our process to improve the overall quality of our product. * Prepare full disclosure reports to management * Key customer order cross-check program * Communicate and implement changes for all departments as needed to be audit ready at all times * Participate in training opportunities * Safely use and dispose of cleaning agents and chemicals * Ability to follow safety & GMP requirements and ability to identify and report to Management Food Safety and Quality Issues * Perform all other tasked assigned by management Skills and Competencies: * Dependable, reliable and punctual * Must be able to remain stationary, traverse, ascend/descend, reach, maneuver, pull, push, position self, move, bend and stretch as needed throughout shift * Works with a sense of urgency * Ability to work at a fast pace, in a team-oriented environment * Consistently work in a refrigerated environment, 34 – 37 degrees consistently * Available to work a flexible schedule including holidays, weekends and overtime when needed. * Excellent math skills required * Must be able to comprehend, speak, read and write basic English * Excellent lab, technical, and statistical skills * Housekeeping and organizational skills * Must be able to move 20 lbs. * Must pass background check and drug screening Although not required, a college degree is a plus Employment is subject to passing a background check and drug screen. This position will start out as day shift but could vary after start-up.
