POSITION SUMMARY: The Quality Control Engineer is responsible for the support and coordination of all quality functions (under the direction of Quality Manager). This position maintains the quality and consistency of the organization’s products, review quality standards, tolerances and engineering changes. The Quality Control Engineer evaluates engineering changes for rework of parts and sub assemblies and analyzes engineering specifications and manufacturing processes. This position will develop test plans and automated testing tools, investigate and analyze quality problems, recommend solutions and ensure corrections are made. Additionally, this position maintains processes and records for QMS compliance and provides accurate and timely information flow vital for management decision making. JOB FUNCTIONS: * Oversee Process and Final inspection activities by utilizing corrective and preventive action for process and product improvement. * Oversee rework and repair of all units and parts by creating time schedules, ordering parts as needed and tracking cost of such repairs for proper invoicing to responsible departments. * Special projects / testing setup with tracking. This may include examples such as weatherability test, process and field investigations. * Oversee field return analysis of parts for corrective action and improvement measures. * Assist Manager in maintenance of department budget. * Create and report weekly, monthly & yearly reports for all overseen sections of responsibility. * Perform (MR) Management Rep duties per the YA Quality Management system. * Prepare and presents quarterly Total Quality Management Review reports for management team. * Perform internal quality audits of the Employer's Quality Managements system along with schedule. * Create (JCAR's) and submits to Japan Quality for CKD part improvement. * Assist Manager in analyzing claims and complaints for corrective / preventive action measures. * Report complete drill down analysis and trends for all overseen processes. * Report Total Cost of Quality per each section of Quality. * Work with all suppliers with all field return parts for investigation and improvement. * Oversee investigation for process, final and field nonconformity analysis. * Coordinate activities of Quality Process Improvement Team for CPAR discussion and resolution. * Initiate, implement, and track corrective / preventive actions. * Follow-up and verification of CPAR activities; facilitate and organize input from all departments for timely closure of actions. JOB REQUIREMENTS AAS or BS in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial or a related field. Three (3) years quality experience. Strong Statistical Process Control (SPC). Advanced Microsoft Office skills. Knowledge of AS400 applications. Knowledge of QMS such as ISO 9001:2008 ISO Internal Auditor certification. ASQ Certification preferred. Vision abilities require distance, close and ability to adjust focus. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Knowledge of data acquisition and testing methods. * Will work 8+ hours per day in a plant/office setting. * Requires candidate to navigate all areas of the building and facility as needed. * Required to sit, stand, walk, reach and operate equipment. * May occasionally lift and move up to 20 pounds in an office, customer or similar setting and be aware of surroundings. * Appropriately interact with others in stressful and busy situations. * Requires candidate to travel domestic and international. * This position is full time and based in Adairsville, GA.

Requirements:
