Description:
Position Summary The Team Leader position reports directly to the warehouse manager. This position is responsible for: Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities * Inspect all work areas for loose debris, damaged parts and unsafe conditions. * Resolve any hazardous conditions immediately. * 5S stations updated daily. * Experienced in packaging. * Experienced in different dispatch methods particularly FedEx. * Conduct a morning brief with department on issues from customers and the current work load. * Pay attention to team members attendance issues. * Perform random audits to ensure parts are being packaged and dispatched properly. * Assure the staff is properly preparing a shipment, this may require working one on one with team members. * Cross train team to other areas of the warehouse. * Assure ship report is clear of all VOR and Intermediate orders on a daily basis. * Complete other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications - * 5 years Manufacturing experience and familarity with 5S, Kaizen and other Lean Manufacturing practices. * Associate's degree (AAS) or equivalent Technical training in Manufacturing. * Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics. * Previous employment as a technician on CE/AG equipment. Preferred Qualifications - * Bachelors degree in Manufacturing or other similar field a plus. * Seven years of technical service or training experience within a related industry. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies - * Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. * Effective oral and written communication skills. * Detail oriented. * Requires Candidate to perform multiple tasks while maintaining sense of urgency . * Must take direction well and work with minimal supervision. * Effective project management and problem solving skills. * Organized. * Team player. * Certified to operate equipment. * Hazardous material certified. * Ability to perform tasks with little supervision. * Experienced in receiving and inventory control. * Knowledge of inventory integrity. * MHE certification. * Experienced in SAP and operate the current WMS. Job Conditions: * Both office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory environment. * Subject to noise and temperature changes.
