Job Title: Shipping Clerk Job Location: Buford, Georgia Salary: $15.00 - $15.00 Salary Frequency: Hourly Description: This position will have the responsibility of pulling and/or processing all orders assigned to them to ensure accurate on-time deliveries using customer created shipping instructions and guidelines. * Complete daily inspection on forklift. * Pull down and Put away material using man up Turret truck as needed. * Process shipments according to manifest and emails to ensure on-time shipments and accurate reporting in SAP. * Affix shipping labels on packed cartons and containers. * Prepares delivery notes and Bills of Ladings; checks items to be shipped against manifest and delivery note to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routings are correct. * Unload and load trailers in a timely manner using company fleet of forklifts. * Work closely with Logistics Coordinators for last minute changes to customer JIT requirements and dunnage supply. * Assist with training new staff as needed. * Maintain a positive and strong working relationship with team members from all departments. * Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, ISO Initiatives, and procedures. * Maintain 6S housekeeping in storage area & offices * Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Working Conditions: Physical Requirements * Position product and material up to 50 Lbs 50% of the time. * Remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time. * Affix labels and place product and materials in proper locations in a repeated motion. Environmental Conditions * Uncontrolled temperatures: (heat/cold) production area . * Exposure to Noise, Dust, Oil/Solvent Fumes. * Controlled Temperatures: Offices and labs. Other * Specific abilities required: Identify product and materials close up, at a distance, as well as colors. Determine depth and ability to adjust focus. * Basic knowledge of SAP preferred. * Turret truck experience preferred. * Two years' manufacturing experience preferred. * Two years; shipping experience preferred. This position offers a $1.00 shift differential.
