Job Title: PLC Technician Job Location: Griffin, Georgia Salary: $50000.00 - $50000.00 Salary Frequency: Yearly Description: Our ideal candidate is highly skilled in electronics, computers, and mathematics, and is mechanically inclined to be able to perform a variety of functions. In addition, we seek an autonomous team player who can diplomatically prioritize the needs of the different departments served. This is a fast-paced environment that requires innovative thinking and initiative. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility’s electrical equipment. * Plan, layout, install and repair a wide variety of complex electrical equipment including automatic machine and process controls, control centers and panels, relays, circuit breakers, electronic controls, Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, detect and replace defective control modules, test and make adjustments. * Observes functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards, problems, and the need for service. Repair and/or replacement of electrical and mechanical components. * Discuss performance issues and improvement ideas with engineering and support staff. * Read and understands electronic and electrical schematics. * Ability to troubleshoot equipment without the use of schematics when needed. * Recommend changes to equipment to increase productivity, decrease downtime or to simplify maintenance of the equipment. * Analyzes and interprets data from solid state motor controls and drives. * Adjusts, calibrates and aligns circuitry and components to achieve maximum machine output. * Documented proficient working knowledge of Allen Bradley and Automation Direct PLC’s/ Controls/ protocol platforms required. * Adhere to company safety policies. * Be on call to support production needs. * Considerable judgment required to plan and perform unusual and difficult work where only general methods are available. * Able to make decisions involving considerable initiative and ingenuity.
