The Supply Chain department of our global textile company is seeking an Inventory Planning Analyst to work with our mill partners, sales and distribution teams. This person will work directly with key customer accounts in demand management, inventory planning, and projected buys. This is a full-time exempt position, and a great opportunity for a recent college graduate to begin their supply chain management career! Job Description: As an Inventory Planning Analyst, you be heavily responsible for both inventory demand management, planning, and replenishment of specific product lines and customer programs. This role is heavily relied upon by sales, marketing and manufacturing to ensure we have enough product to meet the needs of our customers and minimize our inventory investment. This role reflects demand changes in our planning systems to ensure accuracy of forecast needs and inventory records, item usage history, and forecasting files. Our ideal candidate will have excellent computer skills, especially Excel, be highly organized and have great attention to details. This role will need to work effectively throughout our organization, which includes our overseas mill partners. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Responsible for inventory planning from requisition to invoice. * Assist in developing production and inventory management plans to support sales plan. * Identify current and potential product shortages. * Facilitate meetings with sales teams to validate forecasts over and above core business, and assess demand requirements. * Coordinate SKU level unit forecasts with agreed to Product Category revenue expectations. Reflect any changes in SKU level forecasts. * Provide reports and requested information to management as needed. * Assist in developing systems and procedures required to meet service and inventory turn objectives. * Develop and maintain inventory classifications for all product categories * Work with distribution team to allocate product based on turn level and classification. * Maintain and update master files (items, vendors, etc.) * All other duties as assigned. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to work with sales and marketing organization and to effectively communicate and coordinate with all levels of the organization. * Hardworking, action-oriented, and results driven. * Team player, experience in working in a highly cross-functional organization. * Ability to potentially travel to customer meetings throughout the United States. One year experience in product planning and/ or supply chain a plus. Navision application or ERP system experience a plus. A Supply Chain emphasis on Bachelor's degree is preferred.
