Description:
Learns to manage the operations of a plasma collection facility, to include financial, marketing, administrative, regulatory, quality, personnel, and facilities management functions. Develops skill sets for forecasting and attaining production and cost goals while assuring compliance with company, local and federal regulations for a plasma center producing approximately 60,000 liters or more per year. Learns to monitor systems and activities to ensure that source plasma manufacturing is performed consistently according to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), the BioLife SOPs, and other applicable regulations. Responsible for driving self-development by seeking feedback from Training Manager and other leaders on a regular basis. The Manager Trainee Level I program will be for a period not to exceed 12 months. After completion of the Manager Trainee Level I program, Manager Trainee will have an additional 6 months to establish a management position. Develops the tools and skills needed to effectively manage the daily operations of a plasma center through classroom learning and hands-on training. (80%). * Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local and company-specific rules, regulations, and practices related to quality, to the safety of products, donors, and employees and to the proper performance of day-to-day activities.* Maintain qualifications and perform all duties (core and elective) for Medical History, Phlebotomy, Sample Processing and Operational Management area.* Assists the center manager in identifying and implementing improvements and changes to center processes.* Participates in the interviewing and selection of center staff. Fosters teamwork. Works collaboratively with staff, peers, and management to achieve business goals. Communicates continuously at all levels of the organization and resolves conflicts proactively. (15%). Ensures high levels of customer service and satisfaction. Meets and strives to exceed customer expectations. (5%). *Routinely makes low to medium impact decisions involving center operations.*Seeks guidance from Center Management (including Quality) for medium to high impact decisions and urgent matters.*Coordinates and receives feedback consistently from Manager of Training and Development.*Regularly advises and consults with donors/customers (External).*Coordinates with Center Management team and Quality to ensure successful operation standards are met (Internal).*Consults and receives feedback consistently from Manager of Training and Development. Ability to attract, retain, motivate, develop, and recognize a team of diverse individuals. *Qualified candidate will multi-task, prioritize, and communicate with senior management. *Qualified candidate will understand, interpret and apply technical documents and instructions. *Aptitude for working with production, financial marketing, and other statistical data. *Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills.****Must be willing to relocate at completion of training program. ****REQUIREMENTS: *Computer skills in word processing required and skills in spreadsheets and databases highly desirable.*Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent amount of leadership experience (approx. 3 or more years), preferably in a medical or other regulated field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. *Must maintain a valid driver's license for the entire duration of the program.*Qualified candidate will travel up to 75%-85% of the time for duration of training program.*Production environment often requires constant movement and/or remaining in a stationary position for extended periods and/or for the entire work shift. *Requires frequent leaning, bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching in all directions.
