Job Title: Production / Process Manager Job Location: Commerce, Georgia Salary: Salary to be discussed Description: Job Summary Our fast-growing, technologically-driven manufacturing firm is seeking a Production & Process Manager. This position will provide the successful candidate with the chance to formulate, plan and direct production and manning activities within assigned business units. The person will have the ability to fill in for the Plant Manager or Maintenance Lead as needed. Therefore, she or he must demonstrate integrity, dependability, leadership, excellent problem-solving skills, lean manufacturing principles, and an excellent knowledge of the plant support systems as well as the technical production processes. Essential Duties& Responsibilities * Lead and direct Lead Operators to achieve production goals and coordinate maintenance team. * Support work area in attaining safety goals, production requirements and establishes priorities. * Make suggestions to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and organization of work and methods . * Monitor key measures and goals and develop action plans for desired results . * Share knowledge with others in form of structured training approach and assist others in the completion of their work. * Develop and maintain the production scheduling based on customer orders. * Manage and direct all activities of the warehouse. * Work with company resources to drive production trials and tests. * If necessary, respond to emergency calls for maintenance and do hands-on troubleshooting in a 24/7 operation. Skill set * Strong knowledge of machines in a manufacturing setting for example, Plastic Extrusion machine. * Employee is required to learn the processes and become a product and process expert. * Position requires moving around work area, remaining in a stationary position, positioning self to complete tasks, and ascend/descend equipment when needed. * Flexibility to work flexible hours including weekends if necessary. * Committed to quality, safety and communication. * Team player & motivational skills required. Job Requirements * High school diploma/GED. * 7 years of experience in manufacturing management. * Bachelors degree in relevant field such as Engineering or Technical, and 3 years of manufacturing management experience is acceptable in lieu of above requirements. Preferred Qualifications * Preferred plastics manufacturing management experience. Training * New hire(s) will train in New York for 3 weeks and 1 week at home. All travel expenses will be paid by employer. Paid bonuses depending on plant and employee performance. Substance abuse testing is a condition of employment. Background check will be conducted prior to employment.
