Description:
Job Summary The Maintenance Lead supervises Maintenance Technicians to ensure the delivery of maintenance services and supports production in a 24/7 operation. This includes planning, assigning and directing work, addressing product and employee complaints, and resolving technical problems. The person carries out responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies, OSHA regulations, and other applicable laws. It is a hands-on position with daily maintenance repair and proactive activities throughout the entire facility. We offer an air-conditioned work environment! Essential Duties& Responsibilities * Collaborates with the Management to improve employee safety, production quality and equipment effectiveness. * Supervises Maintenance Technicians and assists with developing training programs. * Executes process improvement projects with R&D management and production management. * Ensures that utilities are in proper working order and utilizes computerized maintenance management systems to optimize. * Ensures corporate and legal policies are followed in implementation and maintenance. * Completes maintenance records, incident reports and investigations and maintains current technical documentation on PLCs, instrumentation and equipment. Skill set * Working knowledge of motors/ drives, refrigeration/ chillers, PLCs, electrical, vacuum systems, extrusion machinery, etc.. Skills required in electronics, instrumentation and electrical systems and troubleshooting, reading electrical schematics and understand ladder logic. * Familiarity with predictive and preventive maintenance methodology. * Experience leading and following safety/ security policies and procedures. * Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer-based applications. * Skill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail. * Employee must be able to maneuver a maximum of 60 pounds and remain in a stationary position for an eight-hour work shift. * Flexibility to work flexible hours including weekends if necessary. Employee is required to be on call: every 3rd weekend, Saturday and Sunday. Job Requirements * Applicant must have 5 years of industrial maintenance experience. * Applicant must have 1 year of supervisory/leadership experience. Preferred Qualifications * Bachelors degree in a related field. * Knowledgeable of Preventive Maintenance and PM System. * Working Knowledge of PLCs. Potential to work over time based on the needs of business. Training * New hire(s) will train in New York for 3 weeks and 1 week at home. All travel expenses will be paid by employer. Paid bonuses depending on plant and employee performance. Substance abuse testing is a condition of employment. Background check will be conducted prior to employment. Requirements:
Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience: 12 Months
