Job Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing problems with all production and facility equipment. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician will perform routine preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and ensure produced products are of the highest quality and safe. This role will require daily documentation pertaining to downtime, spare parts, and preventative maintenance performed. This role will also assist with equipment changeovers and production as needed. Essential Duties& Responsibilities * Diagnose, repair, replace and/ or overhaul all mechanical and electrical components. * Perform and document routine preventative maintenance in a timely and efficient manner to minimize downtime. * Assist Operators with product changeovers for assigned tasks to ensure minimal downtime. * Ensure manufacturing equipment is producing quality and safe products. * Adhere to safety processes to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. * Participate in continuous improvement process and provide suggestions. * Lay-out, install, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of complicated electrical control equipment such as motors, drives, and computer/PLC control systems. Skill set * Strong knowledge of machines in a manufacturing or industrial setting. * Employee is required to operate basic to sophisticated hand tools such as multi-meter, and possess knowledge of safety procedures and practices. * Employee is required to move around work area, remain in a stationary position for duration of work shift, position self to complete tasks, and ascend/descend equipment when needed. * Employee is required to maneuver a maximum of 60 pounds. * Flexibility to work flexible hours including weekends if necessary. * Committed to quality, safety and communication. * Excellent communication skills at a cross-functional level. * Basic math skills required. Preferred Qualifications * Industrial maintenance experience. Potential to work over time, depending on business needs. Employee is required to be on call: every 3rd weekend, Saturday and Sunday. Training * New hire(s) will train in New York for 3 weeks and 1 week at home. All travel expenses will be paid by employer. Paid bonuses depending on plant and employee performance. Substance abuse testing is a condition of employment. Background check will be conducted prior to employment. Requirements:
Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent
