Job Title: Shipping / Warehouse Lead Job Location: Commerce, Georgia Salary: Salary to be discussed Description: Job Summary Our fast-growing, technologically-driven manufacturing firm is seeking a Shipping & Warehouse Lead. This position will provide the successful candidate with the chance to apply his or her knowledge, learn new skills and work as a team within a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate for this role has 3+ years’ experience in the manufacturing or logistics sector. We offer an air-conditioned work environment! Essential Duties& Responsibilities * Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations. * Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements. * Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing protocols. * Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system. * Pack orders in an orderly manner and close cartons so they are prepared for shipping. * Scan all containers to determine appropriate contents as well as end destination. * Receive merchandise for return or delivery and verify its contents. * Accept training as Machine Operator and be able to flex into that position as needed. Skill set * Employee is required to move around work area, remain in a stationary position during work shift, position self to complete tasks, and ascend/descend equipment. * Employee is required to maneuver a maximum of 60 pounds. * Committed to quality, safety and communication. * Proven knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures. * Employee is required to work with all levels of staff. * Employee must have basic computer skills. Preferred Qualifications * Experience operating sit down forklift. * Experience in logistics and/or fulfillment. Potential to work over time based on business needs.
