Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator Job Location: Washington, Georgia Salary: Salary to be discussed Description: Wood mill specializing in the production of fence posts. We take raw southern yellow pine logs and process by debarking, peeling, and cutting to length to meet the needs of our customers. The operator will report directly to the Director of Mill Operations. Job duties will include, and not be limited to, the following: * Unload log trucks using knuckleboom, and cut logs to desired length for production. * Load logdeck with wheel loader or skid-steer. * Use wheel loader to lift skids with product to banding area, and move banded product to post yard for storage. * Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the facility to ensure timely and complete delivery. * Perform routine maintenance on vehicles or auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, and fueling. * This position may occasionally require candidate to work on weekends. REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED. Candidate must have at least 6 months of experience operating heavy equipment as described in job description above in an industrial environment. All employees must submit to a drug test.
