JOB SUMMARY: Will dispatch loads and communicate to the drivers any special instructions for each dispatch. Inform Transportation Management of any issues expressed or created by drivers, and ensure that all loads dispatch on time, with the appropriate paperwork complete and accompanying the driver for each load. Responsible for freight brokerage, drayage, and scheduling of inbound/outbound loads, providing customer service and invoicing customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 1. Accurately process inbound and outbound paperwork in a timely manner. This includes confirming the accuracy of data entry, reconciling the system, output to the customer’s documents, and ensuring that all special requests are appropriately addressed and followed through. 2. Timely and accurately invoice customers for receiving, outbound processing, month end billing, and all special requests and services. 3. Make sure that all customers’ queries are well investigated and resolved, and escalate queries if appropriate to manager. 4. Serve as liaison between warehouse personnel and customer. Resolve problems as they occur and ensure that accurate and complete information is conveyed to all. 5. Write and complete accurate business correspondence to customers and team. 6. Apply professional, polite telephone communication skills. 7. Apply extraordinary customer service in a courteous, efficient and professional manner. 8. Pay attention to detail to detect discrepancies on records or reports. 9. Seek opportunities to sell value-added services to customers when the occasion arises. 10. Assist in improving and monitoring procedures and processes to ensure cost effectiveness in providing the most efficient service. 11. Show concern about attendance and attentiveness. Meet commitments; accept accountability and stay focused under pressure. 12. Adhere to established guidelines and rules of the organization outlined in the employee manual 13. Assists in performing physical inventories and second counts. 14. Performs other duties as needed by management. GOALS / OUTCOMES: 1. Accurate input of all inbound/outbound orders by close of business shift 2. Accurately and consistently complete customer invoicing for all customers assigned by the 2nd business day each month. 3. Respond to all customer’s queries immediately. Resolve problems by end of shift when possible 4. Assist in all scheduled inventories and maintaining company inventory accuracy standard of 98.7% PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associates or BA in Management Experience in customer service and scheduling SAP experience is preferred This position has the following shifts: A Shift- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, 1/2 day Wednesday 7:15 am to 7:15 pm (except 1/2 day Wednesday) AND 7:15 pm to 7:15 am (except 1/2 day Wednesday) B Shift- 1/2 day Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 7:15 am to 7:15 pm (except 1/2 day Wednesday) AND 7:15 pm to 7:15 am (except 1/2 day Wednesday) Substance abuse testing is a condition of employment.
