Description:
The Sales Engineer serves as a liaison in the sales process to address complex or technical concerns, identifies new opportunities to increase revenue, maintain and strengthen client relationships. Duties/Responsibilities: • Consults with existing and potential clients to assess and understand needs and requirements. • Drafts presentations and other documentation and materials that explain products and services to customers. • Proposes improved materials or products to customers and explains benefits of changes. • Occasionally prepares product orders and schedules deliveries. • Ensures that customer needs are met, which may include product modifications. • Works closely with distribution partners to resolve issues, takeoffs/ blueprints. • Assists with research and development of new products. • Develop and maintain internal knowledge base with specifications and technical considerations on products. • Data mining of construction industry to develop effective marketing strategies, increase sales and reduce costs. • Maintain competitive edge by keeping informed of competitor products and offerings. • Set up and attend conferences and networking opportunities. • Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: • Oral comprehension and expression. • Ability to apply engineering, technology, or other related principles to product sales. • Effective enterprising such as starting and overseeing projects and leading people to completion. • Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences. • Able to work additional and irregular hours to meet sales goals and client needs. Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or field related to products and services being sold preferred. • Data analytics experience using Dodge Data, Builders Exchange, bid board or similar platforms. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. • Two to four years of sales experience in concrete and related accessories is not required, but highly coveted. #CBRC
