Job Title: EHS Supervisor Job Location: Dalton, Georgia Salary: Salary to be discussed Description: Duties and Requirements of the Job: * Performs such individual assignments as the Manager may direct; establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities. * Establish and implement procedures, in coordination with all departments, to satisfy standards and regulations related to health, safety, and environment. * Organize and implement system in handling hazards, near misses, accidents, first aids, emergency response plan, including its necessary follow-ups, reporting, recording, monitoring, and information circulation company wide. * Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks. Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings. * Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections. * Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics. Maintains all records for this training. * Monitors compliance with safety procedures. * Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed. * Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required. * Oversees the Safety Committee and its functions. * Identify and maintain process for all required PPE for all facilities. * Oversee Workers Compensation reporting, follow up, etc. Training, Knowledge and Experience (May Be Required or Preferred, at the discretion of the hiring team): * Bachelors Degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering or related field; Certification as Certified Safety Professional or Certified Industrial Hygienist is a Plus. * Minimum of 3 years’ Environmental Health and Safety professional work experience preferably in Manufacturing or Industrial environment. * Requires candidate to work collaboratively in a team environment. * Advanced experiences with Microsoft Office 365 and other office tools. * Relocation package will not be offered for this position. * Excellent written and verbal communication. * Must be legally authorized to work in US without a sponsorship now or in the future. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: * Remain in a stationary position, move about, activate, use and/or operate productivity machinery and to communicate and exchange information. * The employee is regularly required to either remain in a stationary position, move about, position self to move under and/or bend, and frequently move and/or transport objects up to 30 pounds. * Requires candidate to detect, inspect, perceive and observe. * Works within the setting of a manufacturing environment as well as office and laboratory setting and may be exposed to heat, cold and fumes/chemicals. * Eye protection required. * Hearing protection required. * Steel toed shoes required on manufacturing and warehouse floor. * May be required to travel to other sites or customer sites as needed.
