Job Title: Inventory Specialist Job Location: Washington, Georgia Salary: Salary to be discussed Description: We are a wood mill specializing in the production of fence posts. We take raw southern yellow pine logs and process by debarking, peeling, and cutting to length to meet the needs of our customers.We are currently searching for an Inventory Specialist to add to our team. This role will manage our day-to-day inventory and invoicing responsibilities. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail are important qualifications for this position. The ideal candidate for this position is skilled at multi-tasking, possesses good interpersonal communication skills, and is willing to expand their skills through on-the-job training.Job duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:* Tracking inventory and controlling flows of equipment and supplies.* Reporting financial results, including cash flow, profit and loss statements and balance sheets, on a regular basis to Mill Operations Manager.* Compiling inventory reports, producing bi-weekly invoices, and sending invoices to customers for payment using QuickBooks software.* Forecasting future inventory requirements.* Matching purchase orders with invoices for incoming raw materials and outgoing products.* Operating scales for weighing trucks carrying incoming and outgoing materials.* Paying invoices and tracking bank account balances.Candidates must, at minimum, have a High School Diploma or GED and two years of inventory or logistical experience. Preference will be given to candidates that possess a Bachelor's degree, have prior Bookkeeping experience, and are proficient using QuickBooks.REQUIREMENTS:* Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED.* Candidate must have at least 2 years of inventory or logistical experience.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:* A Bachelor's Degree.* Prior bookkeeping and administrative experience.* Proficient using QuickBooks.*Compensation is commensurate with experience.All employees must submit to a drug test.
