Description:
Duties and Requirements of the Job: * Performs such individual assignments as the Plant Manager may direct; establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities. * Performs those administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the department, including provision for the selection and development of employees, pay administration, budget administration, employee safety, employee counseling and motivation. Also including, but not limited to organization goals and objectives, planning, organizing, integrating and measuring the work performed within the department and ensure adequate and continuous control is exercised over the activities affecting quality. * Oversee daily operation activities & identify and solve production related technical issues. * Interface with outside engineering firms and vendors for equipment evaluation, selection, installation and debugging activities. * Develop comprehensive solution and recommendation for process and product improvement. * Analyze defective products & perform trouble shooting on formula or process. * Standardize operation procedure and optimize product construction & formulation. * Utilize statistical tools for data analysis to draw the conclusion. * Prepare routine technical, safety, production, time and attendance reports. Training, Knowledge and Experience (May Be Required or Preferred, at the discretion of the hiring team): * Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University and minimum three (3) years Production Management experience in the Flooring industry preferably LVT. -or- equivalent combination of education and experience. * Years of Industrial Flooring work experience in process related to polymer applications or general industrial chemicals. PVC Compounding Extrusion, Calendaring experience are mostly preferred. * Energetic, hand-on and mechanically inclined personality; good problem-solving abilities. * Familiarize with Six Sigma methodology and other statistical applications; proficiency in Microsoft applications. * Must be legally authorized to work in US without a sponsorship now or in the future. * Excellent written and verbal communication. * Excellent written and verbal communication. * Requires candidate to work collaboratively in a team environment. • Advanced experiences with Microsoft office 365 and other office tools. • Relocation package will not be offered for this position. Working Conditions: • The employee is regularly required to either remain in a stationary position, move about, position self to move under and/or bend, and frequently move and/or transport objects up to 50 pounds. • Works within a manufacturing environment, office and laboratory setting and may be exposed to heat, cold and fumes/chemicals. • May be required to travel to other sites or customer sites as needed. • Must wear PPE as required to include steel-toed shoes in the Manufacturing and Warehouse areas.
