Description:
Senior Environmental Engineer is responsible for minimizing environmental pollution (air, water, soil, waste, chemical substance, noise, vibration) & monitoring laws/regulations. Responsibilities: *Assess & reduce environmental pollution caused by manufacturing process & equipment (design, construction, operation, maintenance, disposal) in accordance w/ laws/regulations. *Perform regular patrol to assess compliance w/ law. *Monitor & report whether (pollution causing substances) emission & disaster prevention facilities meet authorization/permission regulations. *Assess & reduce environmental hazards. *Identify & respond to the to-be established & amended law. *Establish & implement environmental management standards & guidelines. *Create & revise environmental management procedures (including the internal environmental procedure, waste management procedure, & freight management procedure). *Establish & maintain emission prevention facilities.*Inspect facilities & conduct audits on waste vendors. *Allocate & monitor investment budget for environmental management facilities (including assets, consumable management, etc.). *Research air quality monitoring companies & draw contracts. *Draw contract w/ an activated carbon supplier & determine the replacement cycle of activated carbon. *Research water quality measurement company & draw contracts. *Estimate the annual waste generation. *Develop & track waste reduction & recycling program. *Establish management criteria for waste storage, transportation, & treatment. *Store & transport waste in accordance w/ waste management criteria. *Research waste disposal vendors & draw up contracts. *Monitor waste disposal vendors to treat waste through the guideline. *List & purchase waste treatment supplies. *Manage MSDS & comply w/ the guideline. *Report & manage incoming chemical substances. *Monitor chemical substance usage. *Review authorization & permission regulation when changing quantity & concentration of chemical substances. *Maintain PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for chemical substances. *Train operators on cell discharge room operation. *Build emergency response systems & organization. *Develop & review the emergency scenarios for all production processes. *Plan & execute emergency training. *Identify root causes & plan recurrence prevention measures when environmental accident occurs. *Report work environment status to government agencies & take follow-up measures. *Create a checklist for on-site inspections. *Identify expectation & needs of employees, customers, & local communities through constant communication & provide environmental information. *Create & manage the documents required by ISO 45001 & OHSAS 18001. *Improve occupational safety & correct non-conformity specified by ISO evaluation reports. *Train employees & vendors on work environment. *Evaluate the effects & compliance w/ the training contents on a regular basis. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, chemical, civil engineering or equivalent is required. * At least 5 years of relevant experiences in battery, petrochemical, automotive, or electronics industry. * Prefer ASP (Associate Safety Professional), CSP (Certified Safety Professional),or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) certification. All employees will be required to participate in 4 weeks of training in Georgia or Korea. Travel expenses will be company paid.
