Description:
Position Purpose: Sr. Procurement Specialist is responsible for obtaining goods/services required by the organization including product/service sourcing, order processing & contract administration, and supplier management. His/her functions include supervisory responsibilities to lead, manage and train procurement/logistics assistant. Responsibilities: 1. Product/Service Sourcing: * Select, develop and manage vendors. * Work closely with vendors during production process to resolve issues. * Drive raw material/ trim development process in accordance with timelines for product development. * Propose cost-effective ways for material sourcing based on the latest technologies and trends. * Negotiate and procure supplies, production materials, equipment and services to meet the need of the organization at the lowest cost consistent with the consideration of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need. * Perform on-site audits. * Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs. * Liaison between suppliers, manufacturers and relevant internal departments. * Identify potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers, and building and maintaining good relationships with them. 2. Order Processing & Contract Management: * Coordinate preparation of contract and bid documents, ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained throughout the process. * Collect and analyze technical, financial, and legal information as input to contract and bid documents. * Perform review and communicate RFP (request for proposal) special terms and risk identification to assist with proposal preparation. * Liaising with applicable technical, finance or legal teams on matters requiring review. * Document performance and service level agreements and monitoring vendor/supplier performance against those agreements. * Assist, advice and support internal customers on interpretation of contractual documents, best practices, rights and obligations. * Oversees the commercial aspects of RFIs or RFPs, including obtaining necessary internal approvals. 3. Supplier Management: * Monitor performance and compliance with organization's standards. * Drive continuous improvement on supplier side. * Report on and partnering in resolving any performance issues on supplier side. 4. Workforce Supervising: * Coach and train procurement/logistics assistant to develop related skills and general/professional competencies. * Supervise/review the works of assistants, and specialists related to procurement/logistics. Qualifications: * Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management required. * At least 5 year of relevant experience required. * Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) required.
