Job Title: Procurement Logistics Manager Job Location: Commerce, Georgia Salary: Salary to be discussed Description: Position Purpose: Procurement/Logistics manager directly manages and coordinates the activities of Sr. Specialists and Specialists in procurement and logistics. He/She is responsible for work that includes procurement/logistics management, workforce/performance/ operation management. This role will work closely with other managers. Responsibilities: 1. Procurement/Logistics Management: * Develop sourcing strategies in conjunction with key business partners to ensure achievement of business requirements. * Monitor vendors to ensure on time deliveries to support manufacturing, materials within quality standard specifications, costs and discrepant materials are swiftly reconciled. * Conduct industry deep dive analysis to provide proactive insight to sourcing strategies 1-3 years out. * Develop and negotiates long term relationships with strategic vendors, including supplier managed inventory objectives. * Manage vendor risk by ensuring continuity business plans are in place for potential unpreventable interruption to the supply chain. * Monitor all sourcing projects and reports on status of savings as well an implementation to date versus objective. * Logistics planning and optimization. * Ensure all vendors have received and agreed to comply with our Ethical Sourcing policies. * Ensure assigned service suppliers are meeting agreed upon service requirements as per contract. 2. Workforce Management: * Leads regular meetings with direct staff and cross functional teams to ensure assignments, objectives, cost savings and deliverables are on target. * Manage and respond to employee relations issues regarding procurement/logistics workforce (Sr. specialists, specialists, assistants). * Coach and train Sr. Specialists and Specialists he/she supervises to develop professional/general competencies related to procurement/logistics. * Appraise the Sr. Specialists’ and Specialists’ performance he/she supervises and give productive feedback. * Address complaints and resolve problems of Sr. Specialists and Specialists he/she supervises. 3. Performance Management: * Get reports on key procurement/logistics activities/results on a weekly basis. * Assign and direct work according to procurement/logistics plan for each team (Procurement, Logistics). * Responsible for achieving, monitoring, and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). * Confer with other managers to coordinate activities in related departments. * Interpret company policies to Sr. Specialists and Specialists. * Collect and voice opinions when the revision and/or establishment of new work procedures are needed. 4. Operation Management: * Manage each procurement/logistics team. * Procurement – plan, bridge between management and employees. * Logistics – process Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Finance or related field from an accredited university is required. * Minimum of 7 year experience with MRP-ERP business systems. Full working knowledge of supply chain systems with implementation experience. Full knowledge of Microsoft Office. * Qualified candidates must have outstanding leadership, verbal and written communication skill. * Certified Purchasing Manager, APICS (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) preferred. * Experience in automotive/chemical manufacturing industry preferred. * Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) required.
