Job Title: Electrician Job Location: Mc Rae, Georgia Salary: $15.00 - $25.00 Salary Frequency: Hourly Description: JOB SUMMARY: Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines/equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers. * Connects power supply wires and cables to machines/equipment. * Diagnoses and tests malfunctioning apparatus and machinery, such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, and discusses malfunctions with other maintenance workers, such as the Maintenance Repairer and Maintenance Tool Maker. * Replaces damaged or broken wires and cables. * Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards, electric motor bearings, and motors. * Operates buttons/keys on robot controller, teach pendant, and programmable controller to program and operate automated machinery, to test for malfunctions, and to verify repairs. * Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines/equipment. * Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings. * Other duties as assigned. PROFESSIONAL/BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES: Qualified candidate must: * Have the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry in order to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. * Have knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, design, and project management computer software applications. * Be self-motivated/show initiative/dependable. * Be a strong communicator and have strong interpersonal skills. * Display good customer service, negotiation, decision making, reasoning, and problem solving skills. * Tolerate and be adaptive to change. * Cooperate and collaborate with teammates to accomplish common goals and objectives. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to required to remain in a stationary position, as well as frequently move about and position oneself to operate various machinery and equipment. The employee will occasionally be required to move up to 50 pounds.
