Description:
Duties and Requirements of the Job: * Performs such individual assignments as the supervisor may direct; establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities. * Perform effective inspection of production and process setups in reference with defined work orders and parameters, to satisfy customers requirements. * Conduct inspection of products in production line, including machines setups such as tensions and other related set-ups as required, to ensure meeting quality criteria and standards. * Ensure correct records and registrations of inspection status. * Proactively identify any non-conformities or potential problems related to product or operations and collaborate to formulate corrective actions. * Ensure neatness and orderliness of responsible area. * Ensure inspected goods are clearly identified and segregated based on quality and test status. * Performs assigned, routine visual inspections and other specified tests on raw materials, goods in process, and finished products. * Tests, inspects, and approves raw materials based on established quality specifications. * Uses observation and testing to identify faults in materials and manufacturing process. * Uses statistical methods to test product samples to evaluate quality of full product batch prior to delivery to clients or customers. * Compares results of inspections and tests to company’s quality standards; reports results to supervisor for final analysis and action steps. * Develops, maintains, and posts logs, charts, and forms detailing quality levels, inspection data, and results of special quality studies for review by line mechanics, supervisors, and other production staff. * Consults with supervisor to determine appropriate recommendations and remedies for questionable products. * Maintains quality records as needed. Training, Knowledge and Experience (May Be Required or Preferred, at the discretion of the hiring team): * High school diploma/GED is required; technical school education, or equivalent is desirable. * A knowledge of quality lab tools and equipment. * Minimum of 1 year Quality Lab work experience including use of lab tools and equipment in Laminate/LVT or Hardwood Flooring manufacturing. * Advanced experiences with Microsoft office 365 and other office tools. * Must be legally authorized to work in US without a sponsorship now or in the future. * Excellent written and verbal communication. * Experience in the flooring industry. * Requires candidate to work collaboratively in a team environment. * Relocation package will not be offered for this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: * Remain in a stationary position, move about, activate, use and/or operate productivity machinery and to communicate and exchange information. * The employee is regularly required to either remain in a stationary position, move about, position self to move under and/or bend, and frequently move and/or transport objects up to 50 pounds. * Requires candidate to detect, inspect, perceive and observe. * Works within the setting of a manufacturing environment as well as office and laboratory setting and may be exposed to heat, cold and fumes/chemicals. * May be required to travel to other sites or customer sites as needed. * PPE must be worn as required; steel-toed shoes required on manufacturing and warehouse floor. * Position also requires candidate to: work flexible schedule with overtime, including but not limited to 12-hour rotating shifts, perform continuous, repetitious physical activities (these activities may involve fine movements or large motions), keep pace with current production speed, maneuver/move with reasonable force, position and move self for extended periods of time.
