***IT IS ONLY NECESSARY TO APPLY FOR ONE PRODUCTION OPERATOR POSITION W/ SK BATTERY AMERICA. ONE APPLICATION WILL ALLOW EVALUATION FOR ALL POSTED PRODUCTION OPERATOR POSITIONS.*** Electrode Production Operator uses the equipment & computerized systems to produce, evaluate, package semi-finished goods of lithium-ion batteries. Responsibilities may include the computer-controlled operation of multiple equipment types such as powder input, mixing, coating, pressing, slitting. Additionally, responsibilities include conducting quality checks, engage in troubleshooting & basic equipment maintenance throughout the production process, & collecting qualifying products & package for shipment. Responsibilities: *Conduct an incoming inspection on materials to check the acceptability, & moves the conforming materials to the warehouse. *After the model change, transfer the warehoused materials to the powder input room right before production based on first-in-first-out (FIFO). *Record the specifications of materials including material Lot & weight in the operation log. *Check materials to be fed, production batch recipe, formulation system operation status, remaining amount of the pure water & NMP inside the tank, & status of each mixer, slurry leaks, residues inside the mixer. *Check operation records & specifications through MES. *Check the incoming inspection result of the foil, & move only the conforming (accepted) foil to the foil warehouse. *Check the status equipment. *Check the incoming inspection result of the electrode from the previous process (coating), & move only the conforming (accepted) electrode to the electrode storage. *When model to be manufactured is changed, transfer the electrode to the pressing room before production. . *Check operation specifications based on the latest control plan before starting production operation. *Prepare the pressed electrode to the slitting room before production. *Engage production activities according to the documented work instructions & standards. *Ensure that work is completed in a safe manner & maintain a safe working environment according to the safety instructions. *Monitor processes and performs continuous image inspections & visual quality checks of the products to ensure acceptance standards are met. *Monitor data from measuring devices. *Before feeding the hopper, use barcode to check correctly matched. *Check the product life of mixing materials. *Pre-quality Verification Procedure shall be applied to the following types of production: long idle time (7 days or more), holidays, shut-down. *Take the residual slurry inside the moving tank, the mesh filter, & the head tank into a bucket and transfer to the mixing process. *Set initial production conditions. *Identify irregularities that are not compliant to instructions/control plan regarding environment, process, materials, & the quality. *Basic troubleshooting according to the work instructions & report issues if not resolved. *Except Powder Input- If the production is interrupted due to equipment failure, discard the neglected electrode in the dryer. Proceed with the semi-finished product measurement to check if the interruption caused any non-conforming product. *In the case of winder roll/guide roll failure, immediately stop the production & notify the maintenance team for inspection and repairing. *Measure all or selected semi-finished products for the features specified in the Control Plan. The inspection could be implemented automatically or by a person, using lupe or measuring instrument. *Check the appearance defects based on the company specified acceptable appearance features. *If any non-conforming product is found, handle it in compliance with Non-conformity Handling Procedure. *Clean the mixers, tanks, pumps, filters, & pipes according to the cleaning guideline after a model change. Qualifications: *High School Diploma or GED (General Education Development). *Six (6) months of experience as a Production Operator in a manufacturing environment. *Employer prefers experience handling raw materials in a manufacturing environment and/or experience in mixing, coating, pressing, & or slitting of raw materials. *Forklift and Pallet Jack experience required. Forklift certification preferred. * Applicants are required to have language skills in English at full professional proficiency level. *Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) experience. *Basic computer skills. Qualified candidate must wear PPE including safety shoes, clean suit, dust mask or respirator, gloves, glasses/goggles, & polyurethane protective gloves for cutting, wear chemical protective clothing & mask to shield the effects of chemical hazards (only for the protection-required operations), must consistently & safely lift over 70 pounds, maneuver stairs/ladders, reach, squat, remain in prolonged upright position, balance, bend, remain low to push and pull objects, must pull/push pallets weighing up to 330 pounds on a motorized pallet jack, work in a clean room with temperatures between 64.4 and 82.4 degrees w/ humidity of 30 percent or less, monitor temperature and dew point, will be exposed to dust, chemical compound (ethanol, NCM, NMP), & radiation. Lunch: Company buys employee’s lunch for all shifts. They are building a cafeteria at the plant. Benefits: Company pays 90 percent of the health insurance premium for all coverages (Single, family). Medical insurance single deductible is $500. Up to 6 percent matching 401K (pending, but will be completed before the end of year).
