Description:
The Electrical Technician will provide support for electrical maintenance. Must be willing to work on mechanical equipment. The Electrical Technician will work the current rotating shift schedule. Also, respond to call-ins and work after normal working hours as needed. JOB DUTIES: • Operate production line machinery and/or computers. • Troubleshoot electrical problems and perform root cause analysis in partnership with operations and engineering to solve problems and make improvements. • Knowledge of machine controls, sensors, I/O, and drives. • Ensure operation of machinery and electrical systems by completing preventive maintenance requirements. • Follow diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturers instruction and engineering specifications. • Analyze maintenance procedures and work with maintenance trainer to help develop and implement training, new work instructions and practices. • Document work performed on the facility to build equipment history. Reviews equipment repair history for PM/PD creation or changes to current practices. • Follow all organizational policies, procedures and rules, ensuring all laws are obeyed, safety and environmental protection are practiced. • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area. • Attend and participates in required training; trains others in areas of proficiency or expertise. • Self-starter attitude with a willingness to proactively identify and correct potential machine issues. • Additional job duties as required. THINGS TO KNOW: • Education: High School diploma/GED required, specialized training/education a plus. • Prerequisite of 5+ years of electrical maintenance related experience is required. • Will move 50 pounds at times • Travel up to 10 days per year • Will operate mobile equipment • Will work independently and within a team • Starting pay is $21.00 hr +DOE Shift work plus availability for overtime will be required.
