Description:
The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. Responsibilities: Perform skilled activities including construction, welding, brazing, soldering, plumbing and hydraulics. Monitor production areas to ensure proper functioning of equipment and machinery. Complete assigned work orders. Adhere to Safety Procedures including, but not limited to Lock Out-Tag Out, Power Industrial Truck, Scissor Lift, Harness/Fall Protection, etc. Adjust, repair, and replace electrical equipment. Promote and encourage safety in all aspects of maintenance. Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner. Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to lead associates toward achieving personal and plant specific results. Completes assigned responsibilities and oversees the mechanical work of equipment. Responsible for facilitating or correcting measures when downtime results from mechanical or technical defects. Processes maintenance downtime reports for corporate and plant management. Assigns work orders or special projects to other maintenance associates. Maintains department budget within specified guidelines. Conducts preoperational inspections and handles maintenance concerns to ensure operation begins as scheduled. Ability to perform general mathematical calculations. Mechanical inclination and knowledge of job specifications. Goal oriented and possess root cause analysis skills. Industrial construction experience beneficial. Work 40+ hours per week in all areas of the plant. Ample knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and practices used in the building, mechanical, and electrical trades. Extensive understanding of occupational hazards and safety concerns. Tends to other duties as needed. Working Conditions: Production and maintenance settings. Exposure to various chemicals, machinery, and knives. Slippery floors, fluctuating temperatures, and loud ambient noise. Education Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical schooling with mechanical or electrical emphasis preferred. #CBRC
