Description:
Quality Assurance Technicians ensure our customers enjoy the highest quality products. Quality Assurance Technicians will actively monitor, troubleshoot, and collect data verifying the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Systems are functioning as designed. Essential Functions: Complete operational quality checks and ensure HACCP monitoring procedures are followed: Effectively communicate and act with USDA personnel to ensure that products and procedure are meet regulatory requirements. Conduct and document pre-operational sanitation inspections for cleanliness of production lines, equipment, and surrounding areas. Monitor GMP, SOP, SSOP and HACCP programs and ensure corrective action are taken for non-conformances. Properly calibrate equipment used for food safety and HACCP requirements. Ensure that issues relating to quality or food safety of company products are reported to a supervisor. Properly monitor metal detection equipment for functionality and take appropriate actions if out of specification. Ensure out of specification, retained products is identified with a hold tag. hold tag information is documented and tracked until a disposition is given. Monitor meat quality and complete AQL paperwork. Take appropriate actions if out of specification. Monitor code dates to ensure proper dates are being used and take appropriate actions if out of specification. Monitor packaging and labeling for quality issues and take appropriate actions if out of specification. Monitor product temperature and take appropriate actions if out of specification. Monitor weight control checks and take appropriate actions if out of specification. Other duties and projects as assigned. Job Competencies: Ability to perform basic math. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and outlook. Ability to work in Hot/Cold Environments. Written/Verbal communication skills. Ability multi-task. Ability to work with little supervision and prioritize work. Perform all job tasks according to FPL Food LLC safety policies. Ensure a high level of integrity when producing timely, accurate records. Learn, understand, and comply with USDA regulatory requirements. Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Preferred Experience: Quality Assurance experience in the food industry. Knowledge of SSOP, GMP, and USDA requirements. #CBRC
