Description:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Maintain a thorough understanding of plant safety policies and procedures, perform all work according to policies and procedures, and assist others in interpretation of policies and procedures related to electrical safety. * Understand plant environmental policies and procedures and how they relate to performance of daily duties. * Maintain high standards of quality and workmanship in performance of all duties. * Installation and startup of new manufacturing or support equipment including specification and installation of electrical services, equipment startup and adjustment, compilation of equipment documentation, and preparation of training for maintenance personnel. * Diagnose and repair plant and equipment electrical, control, and instrumentation related malfunctions. * Compile and maintain electrical and controls documentation for new and existing plant and manufacturing equipment. * Troubleshoot, repair and maintain, CNC and manual, machine shop equipment to include controls, electrical and mechanical aspects. * Troubleshoot, program and correct malfunctions in PLC, CNC, HMI and VFD systems. * Make electronic and/or paper copy backups of equipment control software and parameter data. * Develop and implement software changes for equipment or process improvements. * Specify hardware and/or develop software for new equipment applications. * Identify, develop and assist implementation of projects which improve reliability, increase productivity, or otherwise increase profitability of operations. * Evaluate plant and equipment electrical and controls reliability problems and develop and implement appropriate solutions. * Assist with developing preventive maintenance schedules and procedures for equipment using OEM equipment manuals and component manuals. * Other duties as assigned by Facilities Maintenance Supervisor - Machine Shop. PREFERRED SKILLS:* CAD experience is a plus. * CNC machine control diagnosis, programming knowledge is also desirable. REQUIRED SKILLS:* Programmable logic controller diagnostics and programming. * AC/DC motors, drives, and conventional controls. * Servo and spindle motors and drives. * Induction furnace controls. * Oven and burner controls. * Industrial instrumentation systems and devices. * Working knowledge of NEC. * Good personal computer and application software skills. * Systematic identification and solution of problems. * Demonstrated ability to make decisions and work independently or as part of a team to produce desired results.SHIFTS VARY:Shifts are 12 hour shifts and days will vary. 2 on, 2 off; 3 on, 2 off; 2 on, 3 off - then repeat. Requirements:
Minimum Education: Associates degree/some college
Minimum Experience: 60 Months
