Summary: Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, and electrical systems in hotel and restaurant. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Ensure completion of work orders. * Ensure adherence to local, state and federal compliance of OHSA regulations. * Conduct Life Safety Training and maintain records related thereto. * Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance of Life Safety Systems. * Responsible for the training and development of maintenance associates. * Operate within established budget guidelines. * Provide excellent service to internal and external customers. * Vendor relationship management. * Inventory control of property operations related tools and supplies. * HVAC maintenance and repair. * Maintain hotel aesthetics (painting, furniture maintenance, etc.). * Inspect and test machinery and equipment. Work with supervisors and other maintenance workers to detect, diagnose and/or repair malfunctions and/or problem. * Dismantle defective machines and equipment; install new or repaired parts. * Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. * Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment. * Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic pneumatic equipment; repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment. * Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment. * Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment, such as robots or programmable controllers. * Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts. * Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures. * Create, implement, and maintain a Preventative Maintenance Program within the rooms to insure they are being kept up to standards on a quarterly basis and the proper documentation is being recorded. * Assist guests on in house outlet information along with local information. * Patrol parking lot and grounds on a continuous basis throughout the day. * Complete pool chemical testing. * Check emergency lighting and in-room smoke detectors. * Keep a daily maintenance log of all work performed on all areas of the hotel/motel. * Interact with internal and external customers in a positive, professional and accommodating manner. * Perform any other job related duties as assigned. Requirements: * Must have High school diploma/GED. * Must have at least 1 year related experience. * Must be at least 18 years old. Preferred Qualifications: * College degree.
