Description:
Responsibilities:*Responsible for all purchasing activities relating to quality, cost, delivery & service for production parts.*Manage commercial negotiations with supplier & assess supplier performance & mitigate commercial risk.*Actively participate Into the commodity development, sourcing/negotiations, budget mgmt (Saving/Material Cost) & interface w/supplier or Internal counterpart.*Monitor vendors to ensure on time deliveries to support manufacturing, materials w/in quality standard specifications, costs & discrepant materials are swiftly reconciled.*Establish/strengthen supplier relationships for better alignment.*Strive to drive improvement to purchasing organization's processes.*Work w/critical supplier, assisting in developing a short term 'Build and Ship' plan that supports production at assembly plant & focus on a long-term supply plan for critical components.*Implement policy & procedures to ensure an efficient & professional operation consistent w/corporate vision.*Track, measure, & improve part related Quality, Cost, Delivery, & Development (QCDD) key performance indicators.*Monitoring, enhancement, risk resolution of supplier parts quality & delivery. *Evaluate pan design w/engineering, quality, & suppliers to obtain optimum efficiencies.*Plan, organize, track, & disseminate info related to production suppliers. *Participate in purchasing related internal meetings, including making presentations to Sr. Mgmt. *Maintain up to date supply base info database.*Support & rotate w/in parts development sections as assigned.*Administer, coordinate, & comply w/all Business Mgmt System (BMS), Environmental Mgmt System (EMS), & requirements. *Select & manage supply base for production parts, components, & systems by: Preparing Requests for Quotation (RFQ) for multi-year full production quantities, negotiating long-term agreements, maintaining competitive pricing, leading yearly cost reduction activities, & negotiate w/supplier for the best material & tooling cost to achieve the vehicle target cost.*Find competitive local potential suppliers in N.A. & select the most competitive supplier for EV programs.*Manage progress of supplier new plant construction & 4M preparation w/target date. *Develop all the parts & maintain stable part supplying w/sourced suppliers; Develop parts according to drawing & specs, auditing supplier's manufacturing line, & monitoring supplier quality & delivery performance.*Formulate & implement yearly commodity & supply base strategy. *Explore available technology & implements best practices related to purchasing activities.*Manage material logistic from supplier, prevent, & resolve disruptions in the flow of parts supply. *Write action reports related to effective countermeasures for part quality defects.*Communicate the results of supplier process audits & propose corrective suggestions.*Lead all quality & delivery in plant containment activities related to supplier part non-conformance. *Constantly develop new technologies & processes. *Develop purchasing strategies w/Engineering & Suppliers to ensure secure supply at best cost. Requirements:*5 yrs experience required.*Bachelor's degree from accredited university in Engineering, Business Management, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Accounting, Business, Administration, or related field.*Microsoft Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.*Part Development Assistant Manager (Positions Available in Multiple Departments).Preferences:*Cert Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Cert Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) preferred.*SAP preferred.*Bilingual in English & Korean preferred (read, write, & speak fluently).*OEM/parts components supplier & long-term planning & strategy development experience preferred.Skills/Knowledge Requirements:*Qualified candidate must work w/a team, be flexible, must plan/organize, solve problems, communicate (orally/writing), work efficiently w/minimal supervision, have willingness for transformational change, have excellent presentation & repotting skills, & have a strategic mindset/be a strategic thinker.
