**COMPANY IS OFFERING A $1000 RECRUITING BONUS**SUMMARY:The Training Coordinator, under the direction of the Training Manager, will be responsible for properly training designated employees according to local, state, federal, and Authority policies and programs. This position assists in the facilitation of all education programs and meetings for the property and conducts and coordinates all training activities including initial training and retraining. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provides clerical support to the department as directed.* Assists in collecting, verifying, and entering data for reports.* Maintains all employee training files.* Ensures accurate record-keeping including pulling notices.* Conducts classroom, closed course, and multifaceted training.* Evaluates and modifies existing or propose programs and suggests and implements suitable changes. * Collaborates with outside consultants and training providers to deliver training.* Counsels Operations personnel regarding the Authority training policies and procedures.* Assists in developing and implementing training and certification programs.* Other duties as requested.OPERATION AUTHORITY:* Carries out training responsibilities including planning, assigning, and directing work, as it relates to safety functions.* Provides training recommendations for sensitive employees.COMPLIANCE: Responsible for completing all mandatory training classes. Responsible for reviewing and complying with all company policies, procedures, and directives. Responsible for ensuring all direct reports have taken all mandatory training. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: * High School diploma or GED required.* Must possess a Valid Class B or higher Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement for a minimum of two (2) years.* Any combination of education and experience equivalent to three (3) years in the transportation industry.* Training experience preferred.* Trainer certification will be required to be completed within six months of hiring.* Must have excellent computer skills and be functional with various types of software including GPS systems, surveillance cameras, and software and recordkeeping databases.* Pass a drug test, criminal background check, DOT Physical, and satisfactory MVR results.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: * Read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.* Write simple correspondence.* Effectively present information one-on-one and in group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.* Apply understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.* Deal with problems involving several variables in wide-ranging situations.* Advanced computer skills are required. Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, Internet software, e-mail, and/or database software.* English required, bilingual skills a plus.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain in a sedentary position for extended periods of time; manipulate/handle, collect/retrieve, converse/exchange information, and move about. The employee must regularly move up to 10 pounds and frequently move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employee must be free of any condition(s) which results in temporary loss of consciousness or ability to reason. 50 percent of work is accomplished outside or in a vehicle. Performs physical activities that require considerable repetitive motion and moving of the body, such as ascending, moving/transporting, traversing, positioning self, and maneuvering of passengers and materials.SAFETY REQUIREMENTS & NOTIFICATIONS: Employer is a public transit service provider governed by requirements of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and the Department of Transportation (DOT). Due to the nature of work performed, this position is classified as 'Safety Sensitive' and employee is subject to random testing for drug and alcohol use.
