Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Environmental Facility Management: * Manage environment permits and compliance activities. (Air permit, Pretreatment, NPDES, SID). * Conducts permitting review applicability of maintenance project. * Environment inspections and audits. * Environment incident investigations and verifies implementation of corrective action. * Maintain environmental testing equipment and sampling data from various sources. * Managing Environment strategy budgets. * Performs statistical analysis, prepares reports, maintains appropriate compliance records and files required documents with various regulatory agencies within stated deadlines. * Establish safety management plan for new plant construction and installation of manufacturing facilities. * Providing information for Workers Compensation requests (incident investigations). * Advise, develop, and facilitate safety training to new shop floor employees and supervisors. * Identify and develop good working relationships with federal, state, and local authorities (i.e., safety agencies, fire departments, etc.). * Establish and conduct health and safety procedures and process and implement ISO45001. * Develop and implement Health and Safety programs and activities for the facility to achieve, maintain and exceed compliance with relevant regulatory laws and regulations as well as comply with HMC standards and procedures. * Reinforce safe work practices with team leaders and Team Members. * Manage health and safety strategy budgets. * Work with team leaders and manufacturing engineering team & shop operation team to resolve safety issues in all areas. * Participate in investigations and root cause analysis of incidents; facilitate the completion of reports; analyze incidents to identify trends; implement corrective actions; assure lessons learned are shared and preventive actions are closed and documented. * Develop and conduct effective and appropriate health & safety training and assure compliance with regulatory training requirements. * Operate medical center; manage agreement with health service corporate and cooperate with a health service corporate. * Establish long and short-term health and safety strategy plan. Environment Management: * Develops environment management systems to ensure compliance with environmental regulations. (ISO14001). * Interacts with the plant personnel and company management to communicate environmental requirements, identifies compliance issues, implements compliance requirements, and acts as a technical resource. * Acts as the interface between management and regulatory agencies (local, state, and federal) in resolving major environmental issues. * Provides leadership, guidance, and technical support to operations management. * Provides training to plant personnel on key environmental issues, environmental requirements, and compliance. * Prepares and manages contracts with suppliers and consultants for the PJT and routine activities. * Works independently with outside consultants, contractors, and legal council. * Establish long and short-term environment management strategy plan . Qualifications & Preferences: * Bachelor’s degree in in Chemical or Environmental Engineering or related field. * 10 years of job-related experience. * Experience to establish and operate environment procedures based on ISO14001. * MS Office experience. * Must have a valid drivers' license. Qualified candidate must have: * Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, problem solving and human relations skills. * Strong organizational and systems implementation. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Leadership coaching skills; investigation skills. Preferred: * Experience of EHS management for new plant startup PJT. * Job related experience in Automotive Industry. * Experience with establishing or using environment IT system. Travel Requirement: * Domestic/International travel required.
