Job Title: Production Control Material, Control Assistant Manager Job Location: Savannah, Georgia Salary: Salary to be discussed Description: Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Job Purpose:* Integrates the functions of purchasing, production control, traffic, and warehousing to support a manufacturing operation.Main duties and responsibilities:* Develop production plans and schedules using shipping forecasts and commitments.* Identifies material requirements and timing.* Directs acquisition of materials, components, and supplies to support production schedules.* Coordinates transportation and warehousing of incoming and outgoing materials.* Coordinates inventory and production schedules to optimize costs.* Conduct a physical inventory count of materials on daily basis.* Check and update database saved in system on daily basis.* Review transport manifest; receive and issue vouchers; ensure their traceability.* Meet all other requirements as assigned.Qualifications & Preferences:Minimum:* Bachelor's degree required * Minimum 5 years of related job experience.* Experience with Microsoft Office products or equivalent applications.Preferred:* Bachelor's degree (Purchasing Management major preferred).* Advanced degree in a related field preferred.* Years of experience from Automotive industry strongly preferred.* Deep understanding of transportation (Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits).Competency Based: * Working with a team.* Planning and organizing.* Problem solving.* Communication.* Concern for quality (minimize job performance errors, quick revision/correction).* Monitoring and Feedback (provide immediate feedback with alternative options as necessary).* Flexibility.Travel Requirement:* Domestic/International travel required.Compensation & Benefits:* Employer offers opportunities for growth, work flexibility, and competitive pay and benefits.* Employer offers competitive medical, vision, and dental insurance.* Employer offers relocation pay for this position. * 401K will be applied to employees beginning in mid to late 2023.* Employer requires a pre-employment drug screen.
