Job Title: Procurement Parts Development Commodity Specialist Job Location: Savannah, Georgia Salary: Salary to be discussed Description: Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Duties include but not limited to the following: * Select, develop, and manage supply base of assigned commodities by: Preparing and owning RFI's, RFP's and RFQ's for multi-year full production volume; Preparing bid packages, perform bidder conference, analyzing and evaluating proposals, negotiating and recommending suppliers, and administering resulting contracts; Negotiating long term agreements and maintaining best-in-class pricing; Leading cost reduction activities; Monitoring and reacting to supplier quality and delivery performance to avoid impact to company.* Identify potential suppliers, analyze capabilities, determine price, and select suppliers with Engineering and/or other relevant teams.* Negotiate with suppliers for the best-in-class piece price and tooling cost to achieve target vehicle cost.* Direct and manage commodities/suppliers from "cradle to grave" through company's established Procurement process and activities.* Develop all assigned commodities with sourced supplier meeting all required specification and timing.* Develop and achieve target quality level from development phase leading to mass production phase and establish improvement plans for problematic parts/suppliers or any relevant issues that impact Quality and Delivery.* Establish and manage complex logistics and supply chain from multi-tiered suppliers.* Monitor and prevent disruptions in supply chain to avoid impact to company operations.* Evaluate and provide guidance on final selection of suppliers. Assess supplier core competencies and competitive pricing using HKMC and industry "should-cost" models. * Develop purchasing strategies with Engineering, Quality, Production, and other relevant teams. * Formulate and implement yearly commodity and supply base strategy.* Work collaboratively with Engineering (R&D), Quality, and Production Planners.* Explore available technologies and implement best practices related to purchasing activities.* Evaluate part designs with Engineering, Quality, and Suppliers to achieve optimum efficiencies.* Plan, organize and disseminate information related to production/potential suppliers.* Maintain up-to-date supply base information database.* Meet all other requirements as assigned.Qualifications & Preferences:Minimum requirements:* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, or related field from accredited university.* High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, especially Excel and PowerPoint.* Must have a valid drivers' license.Preferred:* 2 years of related job experience. * Experience from Automotive industry in Purchasing, APQP, PPAP, Supplier Development Engineering, Launch, Program Management or related fields strongly preferred.* Experience from OEM or major commodity suppliers strongly preferred.* Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) designation preferred.* Experience in understanding, analyzing, and breaking down piece price.* Bilingual preferred - read, write, and speak any two combinations of English, Korean, and/or Spanish fluently.* Multicultural - Openness to work with different set of cultural values.* Willingness to learn and adapt.* Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shifts.Travel Requirement: * Domestic/International travel required.Compensation & Benefits:* Company offers opportunities for growth, work flexibility, and competitive pay and benefits.* Benefits includes competitive Medical / Vision / Dental insurance, 15 paid holidays, paid time off, and competitive 401k plan.Equal opportunity employer.
