Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Position Summary:* Coordinates, Technical Specialist for assembly areas in the General Assembly Department of an automotive manufacturing environment. * Job requirements include labor allocation, Assignment of worker by station, Analyze performance of each station, (safety, quality, production, cost, and human factors) and coordination of vehicle launches. Essential Functions:* Serve as technical expert for Team Members, Team Leaders, including technical training as required.* Serve as technical expert of assigned area during vehicle launches.* Support daily production issues as required.* Prepare presentations/reports on current projects, progress, and issues to management. * Understand and control labor allocation.* Coordinate and lead project activities, including new equipment installation, supplier selection, and implementation phases.* Analyze and continuously improve performance of assigned area (safety, quality, production, cost, and human factors).* Participate in Cross Functional Teams (CFT) and other problem-solving teams, as directed by Senior Management.* Continually review technical developments in area of responsibility and propose new technology projects as appropriate.* Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.* Meet all other requirements as assigned.Qualifications & Preferences:Minimum:* Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.* Minimum of 5 years experience with production.Preferred:* 5-10 years job related experience in a production/engineering/industrial environment preferred.* Experience in automotive machining processes, tooling capability, and dimensional quality systems preferred.* Experience with Vehicle General Assembly production.* Experience with Vehicle automated equipment.* Experience with Vehicle engineering process. * Skills and Knowledge: MS / Word / Excel / PowerPoint.Competency Based: * Those with good communication skills and excellent leadership skills. * Able to identify the root causes of problems and take the lead in solving them.Travel Requirement:* Domestic / International travel required.Compensation & Benefit:* Employer offers opportunities for growth, work flexibility and competitive pay and benefits.* Employer offers competitive medical, vision, and dental insurance.* Employer offers relocation pay for this position. * 401K will be applied to employees beginning in mid to late 2023.* Employer requires a pre-employment drug screen.
