New Federal Contractor Rules
If you are currently a federal contractor or if expect to receive a federal contract with a value of $100,000 or more, the following information will assist in meeting your obligations under federal law.

Public Law 107-288, Jobs for Veterans Act, changed the requirements for listing federal contract job openings. In accordance with the change in law, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs released new rules which take effect on September 7, 2007.

Under the new rules, federal contractors may fulfill their job posting requirement by "listing their job openings with the appropriate state workforce agency job bank." In Georgia, the state job bank is operated by the Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) and may be accessed through any local career center. Find a GDOL Career Center nearest you to list a job opening.

Access the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs for further information or view the final rules in the Federal Register - 41 CFR Part 60-300. This document is in PDF format and requires Adobe Acrobat Reader to view or print. A free software download is available from the Adobe web site.
