Laws and Regulations

User access to and use of this Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) site is subject to all applicable international, federal, state and local laws and regulations, and conforming GDOL policies.

Information Disclaimer

Information provided on GDOL web sites is intended to allow the public convenient access to services and information. While attempts are made to provide accurate, current and reliable information, we cannot guarantee that the information will be error free. Therefore, GDOL employees, officers and agencies expressly deny and disclaim any express or implied warranty of the accuracy, reliability or timeliness of any information published through their web sites and shall not be held liable for any losses caused by reliance upon the accuracy, reliability or timeliness of such information.

Minimum Browser Requirements

Javascript must be enabled to use some GDOL applications.

Access to secured GDOL online transactions requires a browser with domestic-grade encryption or 128-bit encryption. Most available browsers support 128-bit encryption and provide the download to update their browser from their respective web sites.

US export regulations allow the export of 128-bit encryption enabled browsers and upgrades for 40-bit browsers to most countries except those under U.S. export restrictions. For more information on these regulations please refer to the Bureau of Export Administration, a branch of the U.S. Department of Commerce that regulates exports through the Export Administration Regulations.

Link Disclaimer

GDOL web sites may contain links to other government, educational, or private not-for-profit entities. At its discretion, the GDOL may link to other web sites that contain information and/or services that further the mission and goals of the GDOL.

Links to external web sites are provided for convenience and/or information purposes only. A link does not constitute an endorsement of content, viewpoint, policies, products, or services of that web site. Once you link to a web site not part of the GDOL web site, you are subject to the terms and conditions of that web site including, but not limited to, its privacy policy.

When providing a link to a GDOL web site, the link should connect to the top level of the site. Links are encouraged, as long as content or presentation is not altered, framed, repackaged, or re-branded without the express written permission of the agency.

GDOL reserves the right to change page or directory structure of web sites at any time.

Copyrights and Trademarks

All trademarks, service marks, or copyrights appearing on the GDOL web site and other linked web sites are trademarks, service marks, or copyrights of their respective owners.

Pursuant to 17 U.S.C. Sec. 512(c)(2), notice of claims of copyright infringement should be directed by mail to Georgia Department of Labor, 148 Andrew Young International Blvd. NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30303, Attn: Legal Services.

Use of the State Seal of Georgia

Use and display of the Seal of the State of Georgia is restricted by law, and may only be used with permission from the State of Georgia as authorized by the Governor. Use without permission from the Office of the Governor may violate Georgia Code Section 50-3-8 or 50-3-9.

Security

For various services requiring online transmittal of private information, the GDOL uses the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption protocol to safeguard your sensitive personal information. Information is encrypted from your computer to the GDOL server processing your request.

To further secure your privacy, do not divulge any personal identification numbers or passwords or sensitive information (e.g. social security number) to anyone in a phone call or e-mail. When finished with applications that are password protected or require the input of your personal information, it is always recommended that you close or otherwise exit all instances of your browser.
