Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Support cost optimization projects and activities in purchasing management team. * Work closely with HMNA cost team to drive all beneficial cost opportunities to implementation. * Work directly with suppliers to identify all feasible cost optimization opportunities. * Manage calendared schedule of savings opportunities. * Identify and pursue cost reduction strategies by engaging suppliers and HATCHI R&D team. * Evaluate part designs with engineering, quality, and suppliers to obtain optimum efficiencies. * Solicit cost reduction opportunities from internal company process partners. * Participate in all CO related internal/external meetings, including making presentations to and preparing information for senior management at company. * Maintain COMS system cost and tracking status accurately. * Data request gathering, summary, and reporting as needed in purchasing department. * Support part localization activities. * Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements. * Meet all other requirements as assigned. * Company offers relocation pay for this position Major Responsibilities: * Support cost optimization projects and activities as defined by the Cost Optimization Committee. * Project implementation tracking vs. target and reporting. * Work collaboratively with the Parts Development team. * Gather part detail from suppliers. * Ensure accuracy of cost savings amounts reported to PMO. * Achieve the target cost of each project set by company. * Constantly manage material costs and obtain additional profitability in mass production stage. * Establish and implement a cost reduction plan with all feasible cost optimization opportunities. * Identify and pursue cost reduction strategies by engaging suppliers and R&D team. Qualifications & Preferences: * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university. * 5 years of work experience with at least 3 years being cost analysis related experience in an Automotive Industry. * Experience with Microsoft Office products or equivalent applications required. * Experience in analyzing data and developing proposals. Preferred: * Job related experience in Automotive Industry preferred. * Bilingual in Korean and English preferred (Read, write, and speak fluently). Travel / Additional Information: *Position may require occasional travel (Domestic/International travel). * Position may require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility. * Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift.
