As part of the Maintenance Team, this position is responsible for the fabrication, installation, troubleshooting, and test controls systems to ensure performance of equipment at optimum levels. This position is expected to perform all preventative, diagnostics, and repair to equipment ensuring operational efficiency. Assist with and maintain associated records through interaction with the MP2 maintenance management system (planner). Exhibits and supports the development of a culture that identifies safe, quality production as number one goal, (Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. This list of task is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY, and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class)Pay will start at $23.95 hour and increase to $25.45 hour after 60 days.* Fabricate, install, troubleshoot, and test control systems to ensure performance of equipment at optimum level.* Involved in all aspects of wire and cable industry equipment from design, manufacturing, troubleshooting and production.* Modify, rebuild, repair or overhaul electronic and electrical equipment and controls. Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical and electronic theory and principles, wiring specifications, local and national building codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic/electrical equipment.* Applies knowledge of electronic, electrical and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions, and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation.* Services electronic equipment by checking, testing, and replacing faulty components, circuit modules, printed circuit boards, and similar electronic devices.* Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action. Makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production quality.* Maintains an open line of communication with all personnel of standard operating procedures and requirements for working safely with electronic and electrical equipment and components.* Maintains and routinely monitors stacks and catalysts to ensure compliance with EPA and GDNR. * Continually strive for improvements in the design and set up of equipment to enhance a safe and ergonomically designed layout.* Serves on various committees to provide input in quality issues, safety issues and lean initiatives. Candidates right out of college or technical school with electronics/electrical training will be considered. Requirements:
Minimum Education: Associates degree/some college
Minimum Experience: 36 Months
