Description:
This position will have the responsibility to repack parts for shipment, storage, and consolidation according to the packaging instructions and work orders. This position requires the ability to confirm accuracy of quantities both before and after packing, Palletize and create label, record results on work order, and transfer repacked parts to designated areas for the put-away process. * Using work orders supplied, request material needed to process order. * Using Packaging Instruction, Pack parts required to maintain customer shipments, consolidation, and dunnage rotation as needed. * Verify parts for damage and counts for accuracy before repacking; document and photograph label on count discrepancies or damages to parts, notify supervisor and/or purchasing personnel. * Prepare Z sheet for completed parts. * Complete daily inspection sheet on forklift (if applicable) * Create barcode labels (Handling Units). * Ensure all product repacked and returned to stores is put away and located in the SAP system using barcode scanners or desktop function. * Adhere to all company policies and procedures including safety; reporting any incidents. * Dispose of cardboard and assist with cardboard baler clean out as needed. * Verify quantity and prepare excess parts to be returned back into Inventory using the original Goods Receipt (GR) date. * Maintain 6S housekeeping in repack and surrounding area * Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Basic Competencies: * Good customer service skills (internal and external customers) * Strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills * Flexibility to change work schedule or work overtime based on company needs. * Detail oriented; Ability to work alone and as a team player with minimum supervision. * Basic Computer: knowledge of SAP a plus; * Strong work ethics * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-stress environment * Accuracy of paperwork & data entry to maintain Financial and Inventory Control. * Highly reliable; high sense of responsibility & quality consciousness. Working Conditions: Physical Requirements * Position product and material up to 30 Lbs alone or 50 pounds with assistance required multiple times an hour throughout the shift. * Remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time. * Affix labels and place product and materials in proper locations in a repeated motion. Environmental Conditions * Uncontrolled temperatures: (heat/cold) production area . * Controlled Temperatures: Offices, Labs . * Exposure to Noise, Dust, Oil/Solvent Fumes. Other * Specific abilities required: Identify product and materials close up, at a distance, as well as colors. Determine depth and ability to adjust focus. **This position offers a $1.00 per hour shift differential.** Candidate must be available 7 days a week as needed.
