Description:
The Machine Operator will load and adjust equipment and machinery to meet production, quality, and inventory demands. Essential Functions * Machine Operator / General Labor assist plant personnel in performing their duties (i.e. setups, paperwork, packing, part handling) according to sound operating principles as well as company policies and procedures. * Adjust press to obtain proper application per customer specifications. * Promptly report to Plant Lead / Shift Supervisor when delays occur; estimate time of delay and when operation will be able to resume. * Complete all paperwork (i.e. job cards, work orders and product release cards). * Control the utilization of labor to ensure adequate production of various products is met to fill production requirements and to build inventory. * Inform Plant Lead if repair work is required. * Assist with study of operations where cost standards are not being met to determine cause and apply corrective measures. * Review plant floor for 5S cleaning. * Adhere to all HR and Safety policies while dealing with coworkers. * Required to be able to run all general labor jobs (rework parts, pack parts, & general housekeeping) if and when necessary. * 5S cleaning and keeping track of all tools need to run the machine, and all 5S boards. * Assume any other activities and responsibilities as required. Physical Demands and Work Environment Physical Demands: While performing duties of this job, the employee is required to remain stationary (for most if not all of shift), traverse, operate machine to detect objects, tools, or controls; move product or materials; reposition self throughout shift; communicate. The employee must move up to 50 pounds. Specific abilities are to identify product and material settings closeup, at a distance, as well as colors. Determine depth and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment: Must be able to work in harsh environment: i.e. extreme heat & cold, dust, and noise. Advanced Training * Continued training on specific machines when necessary. * Additional classes as needed to maintain or improve job-related functions. Qualifications • Inter-company job experience and training will be provided by company. • Willingness and flexibility to work OT and rotating shift if needed. • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. • Good people skills are required. **Pay will include a $1.00 per hour shift differential.** When submitting a résumé for this position, I understand that this information may be used to create a registration with the Georgia Department of Labor on Employ Georgia.

Requirements:
Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience: 24 Months
